Benefits of Training with Faolchú Karate Club

We have a specially designed Dojo with a world class fully matted floor.

Our classes are specially designed based on Montessori Methods allowing us to take children from the age of 4 years.

We have taken modern practical educational methods to create an interactive learning medium.

All our childrens classes are limited in size and always two Instructors are present. This ensures more time and personal attention for every student.

We are members of the world wide organisation the JKS which is the largest single style Traditional Japanese Karate group in Ireland. With 30+ clubs and 1500+ members.

All Gradings are conducted through the JKS and all Dan Grades are registered with the Hombu Dojo in Japan

As members of the JKS Faolchú students are entitled to team sponsorship to participate in European and World Cup events, should they make the squad.

The JKS GB & Ireland organise an annual trip to Japan each spring to train and experience Japanese Culture.

Senior JKS Japanese Instructors travel to Ireland for seminars each year.

Senior European JKS Instructors visit Dublin for seminars four times each year.

All Faolchú students as JKS members get prefrence on attanding these events.

Sensei Scott Langley 5th Dan JKS (one of only 5 non Japanese to ever graduate from the JKA/JKS Instructors course in Japan) travels to Tuam twice each year to hold seminars and Gradings.

We are a 'Not for Profit' club and part of a 'Not for Profit' Organisation.

Faolchú Karate Club is located in the MG Business Park Tuam.
